The Vancouver Open is the marquee event of The Beach Tour. The 32nd edition of the annual three-day event will feature the best beach volleyball players from Canada, North America and worldwide.
The top 24 teams per gender qualify for the Main Draw, while the remaining eight open slots are determined by a qualifier tournament held on Friday prior.
Youth can also play at The Vancouver Open, thanks to our 14U and 16U beach tournaments with a similar playing format. More information about this tournament below.

NATURA SOLUTIONS RETURNS AS PRESENTING SPONSOR FOR 32ND EDITION OF THE VANCOUVER OPEN
Vancouver, BC (July 13, 2025)–Volleyball BC is excited to announce the return of Natura Solutions as the presenting sponsor for the 32nd annual Vancouver Open, taking place from July 11th to 13th, 2025 at Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver, BC.
The Vancouver Open remains Canada’s premier beach volleyball tournament, renowned for its lively crowds, world-class volleyball talent, and picturesque setting along Vancouver’s English Bay. It also stands as the signature event of The Beach Tour, a series of seven professional beach volleyball tournaments that take place in some of the province's top destinations each spring and summer.
This year, the tournament will welcome dozens of the top men's and women’s beach teams from around the world, all competing for a prize pool totaling $40,000 USD, graciously provided by our presenting sponsor, Natura Solutions.

Player Information
The top 24 teams per gender qualify for the Main Draw by FIVB results, VBC points and Wildcard selections. For the remaining eight open slots per gender, a qualifier is held on the Friday of the event weekend.
The 14U and 16U youth divisions run using a very similar format—see the Youth Open below for more details.

The number of teams in the Main Draw are 32 Men’s teams and 32 Women’s teams. If 32 teams or less register, then all teams will be placed directly into the Main Draw.
Qualifying Tournament:
A qualifying tournament will be held if more than 32 teams register for the tournament. The qualifying tournament format is pool play followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket, to determine the top eight teams who gain entry into the Main Draw tournament.
Main Draw Tournament:
This will be a 32-team modified pool play format with a single elimination bracket. Main draw berths will be based on points from 2024 and 2025 Volleyball BC events. Final seeding will be completed by the Volleyball BC Players Committee.
Available Berths:
Top four (4) teams from 2024 Vancouver Open* [If teams split up, they will need to qualify by another process]
Two (2) FIVB teams* [with minimum 50 points]
Two (2) USA teams* [determined by Volleyball BC, not points]
One (1) 2024 Adult Beach Provincial Champions [If teams split up, they will need to qualify by another process]
One (1) 2025 Kamloops Pro Champions [Team has to be already registered. If teams split up, they will need to qualify by another process]
10 VBC teams [based on 2024 & 2025 participation points]
Four (4) Wildcard Berths [Volleyball BC’s discretion]
Eight (8) Qualifier Berths [Top 8 teams based on results of the qualifying tournament]
*NOTE: Berths designated for specific categories that have not been used will be transferred to discretionary wildcard berths
The list of teams participating in each tournament will be posted online. No draws will be available until the Players' Meetings (July 12).

The competition venue will consist of 9 competition and 2 warm-up courts.
Parking at Kitsilano Beach is available in marked/pay lots. Free parking on the local streets is limited; vehicles are monitored, ticketed and sometimes towed. No parking passes are available.
